Major items process equipment
The following are the major items of process equipment I have modelled in OTS projects, that can't be modelled using a single module in the simulation software.
Boilers Natural Gas fired, Refinery Fuel Gas and Refinery Fuel Oil fired, Natural Gas and Coal fired
Gas Turbines with and without Helper Motors (Variable Fequency Drives), for electrical power generation, as compressor drivers
Li-Br Absorption Chiller
Steam Turbines for electrical power generation, as compressor drivers
UOP RFCC Catalyst Cooler
Waste Heat Boilers Auxiliary duct fired, CO boiler
For steam turbines and gas turbines, I have also simulated the vendor PLC (GE Mark V/VI for gas turbined) logic to control the start-up, load or capacity control, shutdown and trip & emergency stop of the equipment. The logic is simulated to a detail that is sufficient to provide the operator with the look and feel of the logic's functionality when operating from the DCS console.
